The Congregational Vitality Committee of the Mountain Sky Conference invites you to enter a new video contest — with cash grant awards! — leading up to Annual Conference this June in Billings. Videos should be focused on ONE of the five categories of fruitfulness identified by Bishop Robert Schnase:
Many of us have been reminded since General Conference 2019 that our core task hasn’t changed: making disciples of Jesus Christ and transforming the world right where we live, with our church families. This involves good old-fashioned discipleship adapted for our 21st century contexts. Videos should focus on specific ways you are doing this post-GC2019, and your ministry presentation will earn points for clarity, creativity, as well as effectiveness and/or lessons learned.
Entries must be submitted by midnight on Monday, May 20, 2019. The best way to do so is to upload your video(s) to the Mountain Sky Conference Facebook page.
Videos do NOT need to be professionally produced. Just get your good word recorded to share with our MSC family. There are, though, a few things you should pay attention to as you record them:
Videos eligible for cash grant awards must be less than four minutes long. Grants will be awarded in each of the five categories to support you in your good work: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. So, yes, that means there will potentially be 15 grants awarded! Grants will be awarded to ministries, not individuals, and no ministry can win a prize in more than three categories.
