Worship Arts

  • Create and produce weekly online worship services with the visionary guidance of the Director of Worship Arts
  • Run the sound board for weekly Sunday morning in-person worship at 9:30am and 11am, ensuring excellent quality of sound for the overall worship experience
  • Create Media Shout graphics and slides for weekly Sunday morning in-person worship in collaboration with the Director or Worship Arts, the preaching pastor, and Communications Coordinator utilizing Style Guide parameters
  • Recruit, train and supervise the work of a team of volunteers to support the ministry by successfully running the sound board, lighting, videography and other applicable tasks for in-person worship, as well as recording sessions
  • Attend weekly Worship Planning meetings
  • Provide technical direction for virtual worship recordings, including videography and audio recording
  • Support the worship vision of the Lead Pastor
  • Ensure all audio/visual needs are provided for groups meeting in the church when requested
  • Create and produce videos that help tell the story of Broomfield UMC’s different ministries and the impact they are having on our community and congregation
  • Support funerals and memorial services with audio/visual needs as requested
 Information Technology (IT)
  • Provide IT support on a daily, monthly or as needed basis for the network and staff, including but not limited to software and anti-virus updates, resolving computer issues, etc.
  • Provide application support including installing desktops, laptops and peripherals; diagnosing and correcting application and hardware problems
  • Serve as network administrator maintaining and monitoring switches, firewalls, routers and other security devices; oversee installation of patches and upgrades
  • Identify new backup and disaster recovery solution
  • Transfer server storage from onsite application to cloud based OneDrive
  • Maintains proper operation and maintenance of production and worship equipment, as well as server and all staff computers, in collaboration with the Director of Worship Arts and the Director of Business Administration
This position must be proficient in the following areas:
  • MS Office Suite, including Outlook
  • Audio editing software such as ProTools or other comparable DAW
  • Video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other comparable software
  • Proficiency operating Mirrorless APS-C cameras for pre-produced and live worship
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows-based Products, Microsoft Office and Office 365
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Acrobat, MacOS, iOS and Apple Products, Android OS and Android Products
  • Experience creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Virtual Desktops
  • Experience with computer networking
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows server architecture

 Skills and Abilities:
This position must be highly proficient in the following areas:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with technical and production equipment and software
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the IT industry with managed networks and customer support
 The qualified candidate for this position will have:
  • Proven experience in video production
  • Proven experience in running sound boards during live events
  • Proven experience in resolving simple to complex computer issues
This position must also:
  • Understand and embrace the mission and vision of Broomfield United Methodist Church.
  • Support all areas of ministry as well as laity in the areas defined.
  • Perform tasks, from time to time, not defined above in support of the goals of Broomfield UMC.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks or duties in support of the daily operation of Broomfield UMC.
