La Puente Director of Communications & Engagement

La Puente is a mutli-resource for the community of the San Luis Valley. The Valley UMCs work in close relationship together to meet the needs of our community. They are looking for a new Director of Communications and Engagement. This position comes with community relationship responsibility, as well as being able to stay up to date with the various La Puente programs and be able to adequately translate between the community and the programs. This position is flexible as far as working days and times, if you're looking for a 9-5, this is not the job for you. If you are looking for a beautiful community to work and serve the least of these with a supportive staff, imagination, and expression, this may be the position for you! Director of Communications & Engagement (DCE). La Puente is our community’s response to address the effects of poverty by providing a safety net of services, where individuals and families get what they need to stabilize, heal, strengthen, and ultimately thrive. Seeking DCE who will lead/manage a team to engage community through presentations, publications, special events, public relations, social media communications. Seeking self-starter, with strong written oral skills, ability to lead a team.  Join our staff of dedicated professionals and learn the joys and satisfaction of helping others.
