JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Music (DOM) leads the Sunrise Worship Music Ministry in providing sacred music for traditional worship services. The DOM is the principal conductor for the Sunrise Worship Choir and Orchestra (WCO), organizes Sunday morning music and musicians, and provides support and guidance for the praise band leader. The Director of Music is responsible for creating and implementing music programs that align with Sunrise UMC values and identity in the Colorado Springs area. The DOM supports the Lead Pastor in providing spiritual leadership for the congregation in which to worship God together as a Christian community. 

JOB INFORMATION

• Position is ¾ time to full time (negotiable)

• Pay range: $40,000 to 60,000

• Working hours include set office hours, evening rehearsals, and flexible scheduling for offsite work. 

• Offer music support at weddings, conferences, and other special events.

• Direct supervisor: Lead Pastor

• Direct Reports: Contemporary Worship Leader and Principal Pianist.
