Student Ministries Coordinator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create, plan and run student outreach events
● Creatively communicate Student Ministries programs and events to parents, youth, and community
● Coordinate Sunday School/Youth Group in collaboration with pastoral staff, including curriculum and growth of
programs
● Develop relationships with our youth and their families
● Recruit and train volunteers for Student Ministries including Sunday Youth Group, Wednesday Night Strike,
and Vacation Bible School
● Form a leadership team of students
● Organize and lead student retreat(s) and mission trip(s)
● Work with Children's Ministries and Sunrise Preschool to develop full-family ministry

JOB INFORMATION
● Pay: $14,000 to $16,000 per year; part-time, exempt
● Increased hours for Christmas (November - December) and Mission Trips planning and implementation
● Expected working hours:
○ Meetings (Tuesdays): All-staff, program team
○ Expected/normal in-office hours Tuesday, Wednesday night, and Sunday morning
○ Other hours: Student Ministries events, retreats, mission trips, school events, at-home work.

● Direct Reports: Sunday School teachers, Youth event volunteers
