Director of Children’s Ministries

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Children’s
● Create, plan and run Children’s outreach events (i.e.eggstravaganza, trunk or treat, etc...)
● Creatively communicate Children’s Ministries programs/events to parents, kids, preschool, and community
● Recruit and train volunteers for Children's Ministries including Sunday School and Vacation Bible School
● Coordinate Sunday School in collaboration with pastoral staff, including curriculum and growth of programs
● Develop relationships with our kids and their families
● Organize and lead Vacation Bible School
● Work with Sunrise Preschool and Student Ministries to develop full-family ministry
Nursery
● Coordinate nursery staff schedule for coverage on Sundays, routine weekday programs, and other special
events as needed
● Recruit and train additional nursery staff as needed

JOB INFORMATION
● Pay: $15,000 to $17,000 per year; part-time, exempt
● Increased hours for Christmas (November - December) and VBS (April - June) planning and implementation
● Expected working hours:
○ Meetings (Tuesdays): All-staff, program team
○ Expected/normal in-office hours to include Tuesday and Sunday morning
○ Other hours: Children’s events, Vacation Bible School, at-home work
● Direct Supervisor: Pastor Matt Lurz
● Direct Reports: Nursery Staff, Sunday School teachers, Children’s events volunteers
