CHILDREN’S MINISTRY COORDINATOR for Louisville United Methodist

Louisville UMC is looking for a team oriented individual to work closely with the Minister and the children’s ministry volunteers to oversee their Childrens Ministry.
 
Duties will Include:
Plan and coordinate quarterly events and a curriculum in alignment with church liturgical year such as Advent Pageant and Vacation Bible School.
Coordinate Sunday School Classes & Teachers, Outreach with worship team & Engage Parents and create new connections.
Support Youth in activities and programs, as needed. Support mission trips or service activities as they are identified.
Monthly Board Meeting Attendance and Quarterly curriculum evaluations and teacher assessments.
 
Skills and Experience
 
We are looking for a collaborative person ready to develop a children and youth program that kids want to come to on a weekly basis. 
The ideal candidate would have a passion for building Christian community and helping kids from ages 2-12  thrive and at least two years’ experience in working with children and youth.
 
Excellent Communications– willing to market the fantastic programs for our families and community 
 
Leadership of staff and volunteers

• Energy – efficient preparation and execution
• Computer skills/tools – Word, PowerPoint, audiovisual
• Excellent time management, organization and planning skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

Compensation will be rendered in the amount of $3952.00 annually (based on $19.00/hour, 4 hours per week), paid bimonthly, less customary state, federal, and FICA withholding taxes.  
The Children’s Ministry Coordinator will report to the Minister on all matters pertaining to the Children’s ministry needs of LUMC and to the Single Governance Board for all administrative matters.
