Children’s Ministries Coordinator Job Summary
The Children’s Ministries Coordinator is responsible for planning, promoting, coordinating, developing, recruiting volunteers and overseeing the children’s ministry for the First United Methodist Church of Windsor.
Responsible for children’s ministry development
Senior Pastor and/or Staff Parish Relations Committee Representative
Part-time position of 12 hours per week with some flexible hours as negotiated with supervisor.
One to two years experience in a church related field or some college credits.
College credits or two years experience in similar position commensurate with education.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license from the state of Colorado, over 21 years old, and meet basic liability standards for insurance carrier.
Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time. Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting up to 25 pounds.
Visual and Cognitive Demands
Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions. Must have fine vision, sustained vision, and peripheral vision. Must possess sufficient eye/hand coordination to operate office equipment including, but not limited to telephone, computer, calculator, copier or typewriter if applicable.
Work Location and Environment
Home-like and office settings with varying degrees of background noise. Light and ventilation as found in a typical home or office setting. Hazards may exist if the employee fails to use proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting, or if vehicles are not operated safely. The possibility of exposure to blood-borne pathogens exists if universal precautions are not followed.
