Director of Communications - The Connectional Table, Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary: In collaboration with the Chief Connectional Ministries Officer, the Director of Communications will guide and implement strategy for all communications, web site, and public relations messages and collateral materials for the Connectional Table.

The Director will serve as public information liaison between the Connectional Table and both internal and external audiences, including annual conferences, jurisdictions, central conferences, and general agencies.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in advertising, communications, public relations or a similar area of study with 2-4 years of work experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong background in compiling public relations materials and writing articles for print, web, and social media.

Maintaining and overseeing website and social media accounts to keep content current and relevant.

Familiarity with the UMC preferred.
Salary is negotiable.
