Executive Administrator - St. Andrew UMC, Highlands Ranch, Colorado

St. Andrew UMC located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, is currently recruiting for an Executive Administrator. This position provides administrative support for Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor and Pastor of Discipleship. Supervises the administrative support team including the Front Office, Program Ministries and Communications.

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Senior Pastor
 
Job Description 
Executive support:

  • Serves as primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the office of the Senior Pastor
  • Relieves management of administrative details by being an action oriented problem solver who is highly organized, motivated and results oriented and is adept at seeing the big picture as well as many sides to a situation
  • Demonstrates the willingness to rock the boat for greater economy and efficiency in getting work done
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
  • Manages calendars, arranges appointments, schedules meetings
  • Provides an interface with the Leadership Committees of the church and the Senior Pastor
  • Manages correspondence and expenses for Senior Pastor
  • Manages correspondence for Executive Pastor
 
Supervisory Role:
  • Manages Administrative Pool, currently staffed with three employees and various volunteers
  • Coordinates and manages assignments and schedules
  • Creates, manages and maintains administrative policies and documents
  • Communicates well with all staff, lay leaders and congregants
  • Recruits and trains other staff as needed
 
Project management:
  • Participates in facilitating annual Operating campaign, Serve with St. Andrew campaign and Capital Campaign
  • Produces the St. Andrew Ministry Listing three times a year
  • Creates and manages project schedules for Advent, Lent and other special events
  • Manages/creates weekly meeting notes for Directors and the Worship Team
 
Other administrative support related duties as needed


Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including copy writing, editing and proofing documents 
  • Previous Project Management experience preferred 
  • Smartsheet (Project Management) 
  • Proven leadership abilities 
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
 
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or equivalent experience in Management or related field
  • Background check required
