The Community Engagement ministry area of the Mountain Sky Conference is excited to announce the position of Mission Engagement and Resource Strategist to support the missions and community engagement work of local churches and the conference. This is a reconfiguration of the half-time Vital Missions Coordinator position from Yellowstone Legacy Conference, previously held by Sally McConnell who retired in October. This position will be based in Montana or northern Wyoming and is 20 hours per week. Applications will begin being reviewed on January 2, 2019.

The Mission Engagement and Resource Strategist works to increase the capacity of local congregations in the Mountain Sky Conference for missional and community engagement. The Strategist equips congregations, circuits and districts to engage in established and emerging works of mission in both local and global contexts with attention to United Methodist-related missions.
The Strategist ensures the development and sharing of resources, and that the educational opportunities developed by Community Engagement teams are of high quality, meet the needs of local congregations, and easily accessible so that congregations are adequately equipped for effective community engagement.
