Music Coordinator and Choir Director (part-time) - Estes Park UMC, Estes Park, Colorado

 The Estes Park United Methodist Church is looking for a part-time Choir Director and Coordinator of Music Ministries. This person will be responsible for assisting the Pastor in making worship service a meaningful experience. The Coordinator/Director is responsible for: 1) the performance and growth of the choral music program; and 2) the general coordination and management of all aspects of the Church’s music program. The position requires that the individual be mature, well organized, self-motivated, and a team leader. 

Qualifications:

• A resume must be provided including work experience, education, training, and references.
• BA degree in Choral direction preferred, but not required.
• Ability and experience in choral music proficiency as well as piano/keyboard.

Key Duties:
            The Music Coordinator and Choir Director is expected to:

• Work with the Pastor on the Music Ministries plan/schedule.
• Coordinate and lead the Music Worship Ministry Team, including the Bell Choir Director, Organist and Pianist/Accompanist.
• Provide substitute Pianist/Accompanist when needed.
• Lead choir rehearsals (usually once a week, during “Choir Season”).
• Approve and schedule special music on Sundays when the Adult Choir or Bell Choir does not provide music for the Worship Service.
• Prepare monthly time sheets for payments to Music Ministry Staff.

Anticipated Start Date: 5/1/2018.  SUBMIT RESUME by 3/26/2018
Schedule: Flexible in terms of both hours and weeks per year. Schedule will be determined in coordination with the applicant.
Pay: Competitive and depending on experience.  This position does not have benefits.
