Office Manager - Rinn United Methodist Church, Frederick, Colorado

We are looking for a capable office manager/assistant eager to help a small town church with it's ministry! 

The position of Office Manager is a specialized ministry and important in the church setting. This position is a direct support to the Pastor and one of the first persons the public sees and talks to. It is also a key point of contact for church members and guests seeking help with the pastor and staff. They should be personable, engaging, motivated and self-directed. They must also be detailed, organized, energetic, multitasking, dependable, computer literate and able to handle confidential and sensitive information. A person with a faith-based perspective is preferred.

Pay Rate is $15/hour for 9-12 hours a week.
Office Hours are Tue-Thr 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Duties include:
Administration and Reception 
-Greet visitors to the church office, providing assistance as needed
-Maintain good public relations for the church
-Answer the phone cordially, take messages
-Manage day-to-day operations of the church office, ensuring confidentiality of data, conversations concerning sensitive topics, visitors who visit with the pastor for counseling, etc.
-Handle all church mail, opening, distribution and coding of bills received, and responding as appropriate
-Maintaining the Church Calendar and Bulletin Boards, scheduling events and groups as needed.
-Keeping a clean office environment

- Have experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Prepare the Weekly Bulletin
- Prepare Bi-Monthly Newsletter
- Maintain Church Website through GoDaddy portal
- Oversee the main church office email account
- Send out Weekly Email through MailChimp

Other responsibilities
-Attend committee and ministry team meetings at discretion of pastor and as needed.

Education: High school diploma, preferably with bachelor’s degree and/or some business school, with an office work background and strong computer skills.

This position is perfect for a mom who wants to work part time while the kids are in school, or for a retiree who knows technology and wants to keep busy in their golden years. But we welcome all those in between to apply as well!
