Pianist/Choir Director - Stratmoor Hills UMC, Colorado Springs, Colorado

This position is for a pianist to perform at the church's traditional service which takes place each Sunday at 9:15 a.m.  In addition, the person who successfully fills this position will fulfill the role of choir director for the church choir. 

Full duties include:

• Selecting music appropriate to the announced sermon
• Playing the grand piano or clavinova for the traditional service
• Selecting and performing offertory music
• Selecting choir anthems and introits
• Leading choir rehearsals (currently scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings)
• Directing choir performances

The successful applicant will be required to pass drug testing and a background check. Applicants will be required to submit a resume listing musical background/training and prior experience.
