Searching for Spanish language bibles - Eloy Detention Center, Eloy, Arizona

December 10, 2018

Submitted by Rev. Doris Nolan
Chaplain, Eloy Detention Center

The Eloy Detention Center is seeking donations of Spanish language Bibles.
The detainees at the Eloy Detention Center are housed in the facility for varying lengths of time, from a few weeks to a few months or longer. Therefore, we have a constantly changing population and the majority of the detainee population are Spanish speaking Christians.

Because of the population turnover, we have a tremendous need for Spanish Bibles. We receive more than 100 requests each week for Bibles in Spanish. Some are purchased by EDC, others come in from the Gideons, and some from prison ministry organizations, but every week we are scrambling to fulfill the requests we receive.

Purchasing Spanish language Bibles for these Christian sojourners is one small, but impactful way congregations can help immigrant detainees.

Spanish Bibles can be sent to:
Eloy Chaplain
Eloy Detention Center,
1705 E Hanna Rd,
Eloy, AZ 85131

Perhaps your congregation, or one or more of your members, would consider donating a case of Spanish language Bibles. We are grateful for your consideration.
May the peace of Christ be with you during this Christmas season.
