SUPERVISOR: Administrative Pastor
COMPENSATION Work Schedule/Hours: $20.00/hr, 8 hours/week on average
The Fort Collins First United Methodist Church is hiring for a Worship Technology Lead position. The position requires hands-on experience with audio, video, and lighting systems as well as computer, TV and other media equipment. The position is roughly 8 hours a week but can vary depending on need with special events.
General Description of Duties: The Worship Technology Lead is responsible for coordination and operation of the AV equipment used for Sunday morning worship services (routinely 5.25 hours from 07:15 to 12:30 each Sunday). In addition, the position includes providing AV support for occasional events such as guest speakers and concerts, and providing oversight of the Media Team volunteers. He/she is responsible for maintaining the AV equipment, and working with his/her supervisor and the ATRC Team for managing AV budgets and resources.
Core Responsibilities/Tasks Include:
- Supporting the worship life of the church through management of resources and volunteers
- Care and maintenance of the church’s AV equipment located in the Sanctuary, Chapel, and other rooms within the church
- Coordination of Sunday morning services technology, including lighting, sound & video, and how the three need to work together in live production (Worship content is designed and scripted by the pastoral staff and others)
- Develop, recruit, train, and manage a volunteer Media Team
- Development of relationships with other media groups
- Accomplish all other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements : (KSAs)
- In depth knowledge of and experience with current digital or hybrid audio mixers as well as legacy analog mixers
- Experience with the main types of wired and wireless microphones, including which type is best suited for a particular situation
- Knowledge of and experience with high definition video cameras including types, resolutions, and file formats
- Proficiency with multiple audio and video recording systems and modes
- Understanding the various types of cables used in A/V venues and their uses
- Knowledge of sound systems, lighting systems, related TV and media equipment and computer programs
