Youth Director - Community UMC, Ogden Utah

The Youth Director at CUMC is responsibility for all youth programs grades 6-12 at CUMC. This is a part time position (20 hours per week). We are looking for a Youth Director that is excited about youth ministry and will help our youth to grow in their relationship with God. The person selected needs to be able to interact with youth of different ages and their parents.

Duties:

The Youth Director will be responsible for  planning, implementing and attending weekly Sunday School classes. This includes recruitment of teachers/facilitators and selection of curriculum  used. The scheduling and implementation of a Confirmation Class every 2 years, Human Sexuality Retreat and other classes that would benefit our youth.  

The Youth Director will plan and implement weekly youth group activities both in and outside the church.  Planning of  yearly mission trips alternating between local and out of state. Organize and oversee fundraising events. Oversee youth that have interest in participating in a Praise Band that performs at the CUMC Contemporary Service.

The Youth Director will respond to the Pastor, Staff Relations Committee and Youth Council.
