The Yellowstone Legacy Conference has had a relationship with the East Angola Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2003. Five Volunteers in Mission teams have visited East Angola since 2003, to help rebuild their churches and communities, to learn how best to be in partnership and to get to know one another. Before the war, Quessua Mission was a center of excellence in the country as it accommodated the best agricultural demonstration farms, poultry and livestock breeding, schools and a hospital. After the war Quessua was completely destroyed and surrounded by land mines. With the assistance of mission partners, many infrastructures have been rebuilt and ministries started.
