In response to the multiple hurricanes, floods, wildfires and other natural disasters over the past few years, the Mountain Sky Conference Disaster Preparedness and Response Ministry will hold Early Response Team (ERT) training for individuals interested in becoming team members who assist survivors in the early days following a disaster. Trainees will learn the basics of disaster response, how to work effectively with survivors and the response team, and will develop skills to help survivors get back into their homes and begin the recovery process. Please visit the Early Response Team website for more detailed information about the program.

Two training sessions to be held at the St Andrew UMC in Highland Ranch, CO. If you are able to attend on Friday, Jan. 25, please sign up for that date to leave room in the Saturday session for people who can only make it on Saturday. The two sessions are identical (don't sign up for both) lasting from 8:30 a.m to 6 p.m. Each all-day session will provide training for individuals seeking new certification, as well as those who need to re-certify expired badges.

To register, please email mtnskyumcert@gmail.com. Please include your first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address, church, and conference. Tell us which day you'd like to attend and your tee shirt size (S, M, L, XL, XXL).

Lunch and snacks will be provided, and there is no fee for this training.
