Rev. Mary Beth Taylor

Open Space is a successful pattern of community life based on the original Methodist societies, classes, and bands. It is applied in a modern way to connect young people with meaningful faith community. Begun in 2014 by the Rev. Mary Beth Taylor in Littleton, Colorado, the model has spread and multiplied across the West Coast. Now led by Rev. Blair Trygstad Stowe and housed out of Upland, California, there are seven active Open Space chapters and dozens of young people gathering monthly to grow in their faith. This model works and we want to share it with you.

If you've heard of Open Space and have wanted to learn more, these webinars are for you. If you haven't heard of us, but want to engage more directly with Young People in your ministry setting, these webinars are for you. If you are a youth worker trying to figure out how to create community after your youth graduate high school, or a pastor wanting to grow your congregation young, or a lay person seeking to understand what younger generations need from the church, these webinars are for you!

The cost is $20 per webinar or $50 for all three.

The other webinars are:
  • Webinar 1 | Aug. 13: Who are Millenials and Gen Z?
  • Webinar 3 | Aug. 27: Introduction to the Open Space Model
After you register, information will be sent to you on how to pay through our online giving portal. After payment is confirmed, you will be sent details about how to log-in to the Zoom call for your webinar(s).
