Registration for Licensing School will close August 5, 2023

Our school begins on Friday, August 25th and will last for 6 weeks. At times it will feel like a part-time job: there is a lot to read, watch, write, and discuss. Please make sure that your family, friends, church, and job understand what you’re about to undertake. Ask them to pray for you and to be understanding as your free time will be limited.
You will receive an email of the school schedule that shows which subjects you will work on each week, the date when you can access the materials, and the date the assignments are due. You are responsible for retrieving your work from Moodle each week. Syllabi and assignments open at 5:00am MST each Friday.

In addition to the flexible, on your own schedule learning modules, there will be one REQUIRED online Zoom session covering important material specific to the Mountain Sky Conference on Saturday, September 16th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The list of books you will need is listed at the bottom of the page. Go ahead and buy them now so you’re ready.

Written Assignments – For every written assignment you turn in, you will receive a grade of either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. If you receive an Unsatisfactory grade on an assignment, you will receive an email letting you know that you need to re-write the assignment. You must receive a Satisfactory grade on all written assignments in order to pass Licensing School. We let you rewrite as many times as you need!
Quizzes – All quizzes are multiple choice or true/false. You will see your results immediately after finishing the quiz.
Discussion Boards – You will be answering your discussion questions on Moodle (more on that below). Discussion boards do not receive formal grades. They are monitored in real time by evaluators from your conference. If they want to hear more from you or think your answer was incomplete, they’ll reply to your post and let you know.
We will be using Moodle as our Learning Management System. This is where your work is distributed and collected. The week that school begins, you’ll receive access to Moodle.
If you’d like to get a head start on your work (and we HIGHLY suggest you do), two of the assignments for the Sacraments section are attached. This will help lighten your load later!
