What about Our Money? at Mission u 2018

Co-Chair, Mission u Task Force

Kristi Kinnison and Laurel Kubin recently attended the Mission u Regional Training in Nashville, TN, where they met with a wonderfully diverse group of United Methodists to prepare to offer the "What About Our Money? A Faith Response" study. This study focuses on our faith life, money and economic issues. The study helps us explore our own relationship with money, the money choices available to us, and how we individually and collectively respond in light of our faith.

The Mission u Regional Training was held at the historic Scarritt-Bennett Center with its beautiful Gothic architecture. Meeting, singing, worshiping and studying with inspirational leaders was excellent preparation for the conference Mission u events. These  experiences were transformative in our understanding of economic inequality, how the issue has become increasingly worse, and what each of us might do to address the situation. When we live in Beloved Community, we don't just sit by and let the situation become worse.

The joy of meeting other study leaders, numerous United Methodist Women and other United Methodists, and the author of our study book, Susan K. Taylor, was  inspirational. Kristi and Laurel are excited to invite you to register for a Mission u event near you this summer.

You are invited!

Come and join us at one of the seven (7) Mission u 2018 Events for learning that transforms our lives to be the Beloved Community that God is calling us to be.  Registration details below.
