REGISTER!

Zoom Events on February 20, 10 am to 1 pm, with a follow-up on March 6, 10 am to 11:30 am

Are you interested in ways churches can collaborate in ministry across parish boundaries? Do you see a need for our conference to build systems of support for our laity in mission and reconsider how clergy support one another? Do you want to be part of a re-Visioning process for what our conference currently calls 'circuits'? If so, we invite you to the MSC Circuit reVISION Sprint on February 20, 10 am to 1 pm, via Zoom.

What is this reVision Sprint? Recently, conference leaders have recognized the need to revise and refresh clergy support networks and build networks for laity leaders to foster greater vitality within our congregations and shared ministry among churches. We are enlisting the help of Ministry Incubators (MI), a group of coaches and church leaders with a talent for helping groups find innovative solutions to ministry challenges and bring new ideas to life.

“The reVision Sprint is a fast-paced process built to gather input, foster collaboration, and practice design thinking habits in a way that leads to real implementation (rather than just talking about implementation). We’re excited to partner with MSC to see what we can design together!”

-Trey Wince, Ministry Incubators

Here's an outline of what this process will look like in 2021 and 2022:

  • PHASE 1 - February 20: The MI team will lead 60 to 100 participants in a fun, fast-paced design sprint to hear needs, clarify goals, and brainstorm ideas around a conference-organized ministry support network -- a revisioned replacement of circuits.
  • PHASE 2 - March 6: Following the Sprint, a small writing team will condense and crystalize what emerged into a plan, which will be presented for feedback and editing  at a second, shorter presentation event two weeks later.
  • PHASE 3 - April - September: We will build and launch this new way to support ministry leaders across our conference. This Spring, we will begin with some prototype groups, which will meet to learn and work out the kinks with the hopes of a full conference-wide launch in the Fall around Annual Conference time, in October.
  • PHASE 4 - February - March: Not all of our ideas will work, and not everything will go according to plan. We will gather again in the Spring of 2022 to revisit, evaluate, and adapt so that what is created will truly be what our leaders - laity and clergy - need for ministry in this season of our conference.

Through this entire process, the Ministry Incubators Team will coach and support us in this creative endeavor.

Laity and Clergy, are you ready to invest in the leadership of our congregations and conference? Are you interested in participating in the MSC Circuit reVISION Sprint? Sign up today to show your interest. There is a limit of 100 participants, so register soon.
