The Annual Sand Creek Healing Run will be from October 19th through 22nd. As Methodists, we acknowledge the violent and painful history surrounding the Sand Creek Massacre. Descendants of tribes impacted by the massacre participate in this run to honor their loved ones and for healing. We have not only the opportunity, but the obligation, to participate in ways that promote awareness, confession, and a new way of being in community. There are different ways to be in partnership. Please pray for safe travels and for the journey. Your financial support
HERE, will go toward lodging and meals. We would like to raise $10,000 toward this year's Healing Run and seed money for next year. Please indicate "Sand Creek Healing Run" in the designation. Your presence to witness and be in solidarity is welcomed and needed. We will be in Eads, CO on the 19th and 20th, followed by Limon, CO on the 21st. Lastly, we will be in Denver, CO on the 22nd; specifically at the Riverside Cemetery around 7 am. If you plan to be present, please fill out this
ROSTER so that we can be in touch with you. If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Bich Thy (Betty) Nguyen at bnguyen@mtnskyum.org.
