AfterHours Denver is a bar church and homeless ministry operating in Denver, Colorado. AfterHours mission is to put more love into the world by providing necessities for people who need them, especially the homeless, and by creating places where all are welcome. We do this by following the way Jesus taught us. For over 12 years AfterHours has gathered in bars to discuss the deep stuff of life together, celebrate each other, and offer support to one another. AfterHours is a community of individuals from across the socio-economic spectrum with various beliefs, sexual orientations, genders, backgrounds, and with the belief in loving boldly and offering ourselves in service.

Every week, members make sack lunches in the bar which are delivered to people experiencing homelessness. We also host two free outdoor shopping markets each year near Civic Center Park in Denver: Thankful for Long John’s on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas in the Park on Christmas Day. People in need can come and get the clothing, luggage, and sleeping necessities they need to survive. Finally, we partner with other organizations and serve as a guide for churches and other groups who seek to do justice and meet Christ among homeless folks with integrity and mutuality.
