The Mission Display Tables at Covenant UMC in Helena, MT provided opportunities for discussion about the great possibilities available for your church's engagement in mission. Everything from sponsoring missionaries, planting seeds in Angola, engaging in local disaster recovery, discovering strategies for churches to become "greener," how to stress less ... and much more.

Teams of volunteers spread out across Helena and provided a surge of activity ensuring the community was a better place because we were there. Here is a shortlist of the community organizations the Mountain Sky Conference partnered with: 

  • Prickly Pear Land Trust - supports land conservation work and education                 

  • Intermountain - a residential behavioral health non-profit providing hope and healing to children, youth, and families for "Implementing Trauma-Informed Care in Local Church Ministry”

  • Helena Food Share - Helena’s primary food pantry provides fresh produce from a local community garden to make Helena a hunger-free community           

  • YWCA Helena – YWCA Helena is a non-profit organization providing transitional housing and supportive services for women and their children

  • The Friendship Center - a safe haven for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking

  • St. Paul's Community Garden - gardens that cultivate healthy communities
