The Mountain Sky Conference of The United Methodist Church is pleased to welcome Colleen Wakeley as the new District Administrator for Montana. Colleen will provide support for the Montana East and Montana West districts, with the office centrally located at First United Methodist Church in Great Falls, Montana.
Great Falls First UMC was established by William Wesley Van Orsdel, fondly known as “Brother Van.” The Brother Van House Museum is located next to the church.
Colleen joins the conference staff after a career in the medical field. She worked as a licensed practical nurse in small towns in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania prior to returning to school to earn her bachelor’s degree in information systems. For the past 15 years, Colleen worked as a healthcare informatics consultant. This required her to design, build, and implement electronic medical records in a variety of places across the U.S. She brings these skills as the new District Administrator for Montana.
A lifelong United Methodist, Colleen is the spouse of Pastor Jeff Wakeley, who began his ministry at Great Falls First UMC in May. They have two grown daughters.
