Rocky Mountain Conference Missions Team
Each year, the Rocky Mountain Conference reports to the Western Jurisdiction on all mission trips taken by conference churches (do not need to be Volunteers-in-Mission-sponsored). In 2017, 48 Rocky Mountain Conference mission teams with a total of 788 volunteers donated 4,325 days of service to 16 international projects and 32 United States projects.
The 48 teams were comprised of: 28 teams working in construction, 4 at the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) West Depot in Salt Lake City, 12 in urban and rural ministries, and 4 medical teams.
The 16 international projects were spread out across Belize, Guatemala, Cambodia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Saipan, Zambia, Kenya and Nicaragua. The 32 U.S. projects were spread out across Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, Montana and Washington.
These teams contributed $133,648 in cash to these projects, plus another $33,979 of in-kind donations. We are helping make a difference!
