Cross-Racial/Cross-Cultural Ministry Workshop for Church Leadership and Staff: May 22nd from 9 to Noon

April 30, 2021
Cross-Racial/Cross-Cultural (CR/CC) Ministry can be edifying and a witness to the kononia that we are called to live into as disciples of Jesus Christ. But, co-building this fellowship, this beloved community, requires intentional work and commitment. It is not always easy, and often, there is pain and harm experienced even with the best of intention. It is important to have conversations that we often assume we can go without, continue learning, and build healthy relationships.

This upcoming virtual CR/CC Ministry Workshop on Saturday, May 22nd from 9 am to Noon is for church staff and leadership (ex. lead/co-pastor(s) if applicable, SPRC, Ad Council Chair). New and existing CR/CC Ministries are welcome to attend.

Along with Rev. Bich Thy (Betty) Nguyen, Multicultural Advocacy and Ministries Developer, we will be discussing together some foundational "best practices," things we need to consider, and next steps. We will be talking about the life of the church and what it means to welcome and support the clergyperson (and their loved ones). If you have any questions, please contact Betty at bnguyen@mtnskyumc.org.
