Evergreen UMC Hosts - A Journey Toward Racial Justice: An 8-week study

February 18, 2021
Hosting Church: Evergreen UMC

Opportunity: A Journey Toward Racial Justice; 8-week study

Engagement:  Each week, you will be asked to review articles, videos and/or websites online and then have a conversation about the assignment on a 1-hour Zoom gathering. The assignments should take 60 minutes or less each week to complete. During the 8 weeks, it is our hope that you will:
- Become conscious of, and lose the guilt that prevents action, and your own personal biases.
- Review a portion of the history of Black and Indigenous peoples; history that was not likely in our history books.
- Identify what you can do to become an effective ally.

There will be 2 different 8-week sessions offered via Zoom. With the hopes of creating a space for brave conversation, each session is limited to 12 participants:

Option One, facilitated by Heather McGaughey:
Monday evenings 6:30-7:30pm – beginning April 5th, 2021
Register in advance for this meeting

Option Two, facilitated by Carolyn Hohne:
Friday mornings from 8:30-9:30am – beginning April 9th, 2021.
Register in advance for this meeting
