HONORING OUR EXPERIENCE
Submitted by the Rev. Chuck Stephens
Minister of Mission Ministries, First United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado
On Dec. 1, we remembered World AIDS day. The Rocky Mountain Conference of The United Methodist Church is partnering with First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs to sponsor a three-day retreat the weekend of April 27 at John Wesley Ranch for all people affected by HIV, regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof. This experiential conference will be led by Gregg Cassins.
Gregg has been a leader of “AIDS, Medicine and Miracle” seminars in the 1980-90s and now works at the Shanti Project in San Francisco. He is a friend of Bishop Oliveto. He is a nationally known speaker on HIV and healing. He facilitates this conference several times a year in the Bay Area.
This retreat is designed for all people affected by HIV; those living with HIV and the loved ones of those living with HIV. You or someone you know may be living with HIV or has a family member or friend who would benefit from this time together. For more information, please contact Rev. Dr. Chuck Stephens at
chucks@fumc-cs.org. Further details and registration will be forthcoming.
