The Western Colorado/Utah District of the Mountain Sky Conference is organizing a trip to Puerto Rico to help with communities' reconstruction Nov. 3-8. All of the Mountain Sky Conference is invited to join.

Anyone from a Methodist congregation in the conference with construction skills—from painting to roofing—and a heart to serve are welcome. The crew is limited to 14 people. Cost per person will be approximately $1,300 (with $500 for lodging, meals, in-country transportation, translation services, and air transportation, and the cost to San Juan ranging from $550 - $700) .

The United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) organizers have cautioned about the environment: no electricity for personal use, bottled water for drinking, cold showers, etc. Workers need to be 18 or older, in reasonably good health, and prepared to work in hot, humid conditions. This is a link to the Volunteer Guidelines provided by UMCOR/UMVIM.
