This ministry was inspired by the growing need of children who are displaced due to the poor choices of their parents. Children are removed from their homes at a moment's notice usually during the night. They are given duffel bags so that they may put their favorite blanket, teddy bear, and any personal items. Women from Hotchkiss and Paonia United Methodist Churches gathered with their sewing machines and yards of donated fabric on Tuesday, June 13 at the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church. These ladies completed 36 duffel bags for Delta County Child Protective Services. "It's My Very Own" is a faith based national non-profit organization. Thank you to all for their time, talents, helping hands, and donation of fabric for this mission.
