Project Drawdown is the world’s leading resource for climate solutions. Their mission is “to help the world reach ‘drawdown’—the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline, thereby stopping catastrophic climate change—as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible." Please join us as we welcome Crystal Chissell, Drawdown Communities Senior Director, for an evening of conversations and insights about climate actions and how we can all be a part of the solution.
Crystal Chissell is Senior Director of Partnerships at Project Drawdown where she leads the cultivation and management of strategic partnerships and networks that move the world toward climate solutions. She speaks publicly about climate solutions and serves as an expert resource for news media, interest groups and advocacy organizations. Prior to Project Drawdown, Crystal was a practicing attorney, advising the City of Baltimore and the Maryland Environmental Service. She served as Mayor of the Town of Highland Beach, Maryland. Crystal holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, an M.S. in Environmental Science from Johns Hopkins University, an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco, and a B.A. in Journalism from Howard University.
