Local church historians to gather for annual meeting

Local church historians and archivists will meet for lunch, a conference archives tour, and hands-on archives projects on Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. This event, hosted by the Iliff School of Theology, is the annual meeting of the Rocky Mountain Conference Commission on Archives and History.
 
The day will include an 11 a.m. annual business session including the presentation of the 2018 Templin and Knudsen Awards, a catered sandwich lunch at noon, and a tour and project work in the conference archives from 12:20 - 2:30 p.m.

This event will provide opportunities to learn about techniques and equipment that preserve archive materials, share in conference projects, and join in the fellowship of other local church historians.

The archives experience will be lead by Conference Archivist and Iliff School of Theology Librarian Micah Saxton. Catered sandwich lunch reservations can be made with Dick Vickery (ravickeryjr@cs.com or 303-670-8958) by Wednesday, May 9.
