It can be a challenge to serve our communities during a pandemic, but like many churches, the Mission Valley UMC found a way.

The Mission Team at Mission Valley UMC in St. Ignatius, Montana hadn't been able to do much since the beginning of the
Pandemic -- Their community meal, Shepherd's Table, yard sale for Relay for LifeEducator's Luncheon and School Supply Give-away have all been canceled. In answer to "What we could do?" Someone said, "Let's honor health care workers."  The idea grew from there.

We made last Sunday "Essential Workers Sunday," prayed for them specifically, and the offering for them was snack food, drinks, and fruit.  The Team assembled 20 baskets on Monday morning and they were delivered that afternoon to grocery store break rooms, care centers, emergency rooms, Tribal Health, police, and fire stations.

Each basket contained a handwritten thank you note with an offering of our prayers and support.
