I had the privilege of attending the General Board of Global Mission Retreat for Conference Secretaries for Global Mission in Mill Valley, CA. Meeting other CSGMs from other conferences, we had a time of learning with Erica Oliveira and Eric Angel from Global Ministries. They are in charge of #StillInMission and missionary itineration and support, and they gave us a thorough review of how GBGM manages missionaries. We had a “draft” where we selected missionaries, who are someone under-supported, to take back to our conferences and try to generate support. Whether prayers, relationships, or monetary donations. All are important to a missionary who often feels isolated.

I hope that this is the beginning of some wonderful partnerships and that together we will grow the witness of God’s mission in our conference. I also want to report that Katharine Parker is itinerating in the Utah area and tentatively, the Ogden United Women in Faith may offer a mini Mission u or talk. I hope to share more of her itinerary soon. I just received some other calendar information for some other missionary itinerations, and once I’ve had a chance to review it more thoroughly, I will share the opportunities attached to those.
I’ve been two two different UwFaith gatherings in the last month to promote GBGM and CSGM work and would be happy to do more.
