It’s almost Easter, and your church still doesn’t take debit cards. Visitors come on Palm Sunday and then Easter Sunday. They are inspired by the amazing work your church is doing. They want to give, but you don’t have any way to help them live into their innate longing to be generous.
Checks are going away by 2025, it is estimated. And few people carry much cash anymore. Most people under the age of 60 don’t write checks. If your church isn’t ready to receive gifts by credit cards, then the visitors in your worship services are missing out on the spiritual practice of generosity, and your church’s ministry isn’t as well funded as it could be. Your church MUST be ready to receive donations electronically: Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Electronic Checks, Text-to-Give, QR Codes, and Website donation buttons.
The Mountain Sky United Methodist Foundation was frustrated that not all churches are ready to receive all gifts. They reached out to Vanco Payments who responded with excitement and created a special deal for Mountain Sky churches.
Vanco has 17 Giving Sales Consultants who specialize in the eGiving platform that are certified in providing product demos and consulting with Churches to share best practices with eGiving. Their Director of Marketing, Abby, created a contact us form that is specific to Mountain Sky churches. Fill this out and one of their Giving Sales Consultants will reach out to set a quick conversation or demo of their services.
Even if you already offer e-giving, Vanco has many resources to help you communicate this during your worship services and elsewhere. Take advantage of their well-trained staff and materials online.
