Bishop Oliveto and the Mountain Sky Cabinet are excited to welcome Janet Mulroy as the new Mission Engagement and Resource Strategist for the Mountain Sky Conference, effective July 1, 2019. She will serve in this position half-time as she is also currently appointed half-time as pastor of Polson United Methodist Church in Polson, Montana.
As Mission Engagement and Resource Strategist, Janet will support the missions and community engagement work of local churches and the conference. This is a reconfiguration of the half-time Vital Missions Coordinator position from Yellowstone Legacy Conference. Janet was commissioned a provisional elder in 2018 and graduated from the Iliff School of Theology with a Master of Divinity in 2019. Janet said, "I strongly believe that service and mission is an expression of discipleship and the love of neighbor."
After an open application and interview process, we are also pleased to announce that Mary Lou Storey will now be the Mountain Sky Conference District Administration Manager, effective July 22, 2019. Mary Lou has already offered so much to the district teams and we are all excited for this new opportunity for her and for what she will bring to this important role within our conference staff.
Mary Lou will now supervise and coordinate with all the district administrators, be the staff assistant to the Cabinet, and the Mission Connect database manager. In addition to these new responsibilities, Mary Lou will continue her work as the District Administrator for the Utah/Western Colorado District with her office in the Salt Lake City area. Mary Lou said, "I look forward to using my knowledge and skills in this new position and to assist in the transformation of the Mountain Sky Conference."
With this position filled, the Mile High Metro District Administrator position is now open with details for the job description and online application on the conference website.
