Pick a project, volunteer in mission, volunteer in the community, start a new group, work on leadership development—the challenge is up to you!
You are invited to engage in your community in whatever form fits your congregation. Then, sometime between June 1 and September 1, tell us about it! Selected stories will be shared via Mountain Sky communication vehicles such as Ministry Crossroads and the weekly newsletter. As we continue to transition through levels of connection, we would like to celebrate the ways that faith communities are engaged. By sharing how you are engaged in your community, you can inspire others and share knowledge with those communities that have the same challenges and opportunities that you do.
Those who submit stories will receive an opportunity to win a Fair Trade/Equal Exchange gift basket including Fellowship Blend Coffee and a quantity of mini-chocolate bars.
To submit your community engagement story, tell us about your ministry area or project, why it’s important to the community, who participated, what went well, and even what you’d do differently next time. Please include 3-6 photos to help illustrate your story. We look forward to your submission, let’s enjoy some Fellowship Blend!
