Thank you to Jenita Rhodes for her ministry!

November 07, 2018

Thank you to Jenita Rhodes for her service as the administrator for the Wyoming District of the Mountain Sky Conference where she has served since July 2012. She will be stepping down from her position, effective Nov. 15.

Jeff Rainwater, the Wyoming District Superintendent reflected on Jenita's service: "For six years, Jenita has been the friendly voice on the other end of the phone or the smiling face welcoming us at district events, always helping pastors and congregations better live into their mission. Even though she has lived and worked from the Denver office, she has been a part of the Wyoming family in every way. We will miss her!"

Jenita was pivotal during the "Wyoming experiment" when one superintendent served a district in two conferences. As one of the area staff, she provided support to Wyoming churches in both the legacy Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone conferences as well as the Mountain Sky Area Transitional Ministry Developer in 2015-2016. Jenita will be missed both by her colleagues and Wyoming United Methodists, and we wish her well in this next chapter of her ministry.

Jenita commented on her departure as well, saying "I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work beside the incredible people in Wyoming and the Mountain Sky Conference."

In this time of transition, Mary Lou Storey, administrator for the Utah/Western Colorado District, will assist the Wyoming District office from Nov. 14 to Feb. 15, 2019. Mary Lou's office hours are 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and she can be reached atutahwco@mtnskyumc.org or (801) 363-3882. A job announcement for the Wyoming District Administrator will be available soon.
