Thanks to Andy Millman for his ministry!

April 29, 2019

It is with sadness and appreciation that we announce that Andy Millman will be stepping down as staff for Young People's Ministry and Camping & Retreats, effective May 3, 2019.

He first came on board in October 2015 to join the legacy Rocky Mountain Conference staff as Young People's Ministry Developer and Mission & Ministry Program Coordinator. In those roles, he provided leadership for our youth and young adult programs as well as specialized support for all Mission & Ministry programs of the conference. With the formation of the Mountain Sky Conference last year, Andy assumed the responsibility of overseeing the camping & retreat ministries for our four-plus state area.

Andy said, "Over the last three and a half years, it has been a joy to work with the many diverse voices and perspectives that make up the Mountain Sky Conference. You have challenged me, supported me, and constantly driven me to better serve the United Methodist Church. I particularly want to thank the parents, youth workers, and young people who have entrusted me with their care and well-being. As I transition from this ministry into my next, I am confident that the young folks of the MSC will be in good hands and that they will continue to call us to be a Church where all can find belonging and wholeness."

The Rev. Youngsook Kang said, "I appreciated Andy’s ability to relate to young people and passion for social justice. While he was with the legacy Rocky Mountain Conference and the new Mountain Sky Conference, Andy engaged in empowering young people to explore how best they grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and participate in God's mission and ministry. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors." We wish Andy well in this next chapter of his journey!
