Western Jurisdiction of the UMC - Creation Justice Group
The mission of the UMC Creation Justice Movement is to collaborate and build networks and resources within and between United Methodist Churches in a system beyond the Mountain Sky Conference. The initial focus will be to help the United Methodist Creation Justice ministries group build contacts within our Western Jurisdiction. Want to learn more? Contact Mary Beth Downing at email@example.com or the Rev. Courtney Randall, Mission Advocate for the Western Jurisdiction of The UMC at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Within the Creation Justice Movement, there are Jurisdictional Groups that gather (over zoom) to support, encourage, collaborate, and share resources within the local churches, pastors, and laity. The WJ Creation Justice Group meets every other month to discuss issues and ideas around creation care and creation justice. If you are interested in learning more about this group and/or attending the next meeting in June please contact Rev. Courtney Randall at email@example.com
GENerate Love - Environmental and Faith-Based Vacation Bible Camp Curriculum
This Vacation Bible Camp curriculum was written to teach about creation care through Love of God, Love of Earth, and Love of Neighbor. The activities, experiments, service projects, recycle art projects and cooperative games are designed to connect children to care for the Earth that God created. Creation care is part of our discipleship. Children have an opportunity to be aware of environmental issues, to advocate for the healing of our hurting world, and to be engaged in creation justice actions. There are two schedules for an evening or a daily option. If you are interested in being a part of the pilot program this summer or would like to learn more about this VBC please contact Rev. Courtney Randall firstname.lastname@example.org
