UMCOR hub in Johnstown, CO to sponsor Hygiene Kit Day

Pastor, United Methodist Church of Johnstown, Colorado

The United Methodist Church of Johnstown, Colorado was named an UMCOR hub in 2017 for the Peaks-Plains District. On May 6 they will sponsor a Hygiene Kit Day, and invite all district churches to join.

Your church can help in a number of ways:
  1. Sponsor a kit-building party at your church. Your church would purchase all of the “ingredients,” then assemble them into kits. Attached are the instructions for building the kits.
  2. Using the ingredients list, simply purchase kit items and get them to UMC Johnstown for assembly.
  3. Send money to the hub for items. Make checks out to “UMC Johnstown” and be sure to put “UMCOR hub” in the memo line.
UMC Johnstown members can go to Peaks Sub-district churches and pick up items, and can make arrangements with Plains Sub-District churches to meet half-way, or set up a holding place.

If you wish to bring items to UMC Johnstown, the address is 108 King Ave., Johnstown, CO 80534. Please call ahead 970-587-4444 and let the church know when you will be there.

Once they've collected all of these items, help may be needed in getting them to the UMCOR depot in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Thank you for your help. UMCOR truly makes a difference in lives at home and around the world.
