Event Organizer, Holy Disruption
United Methodist Women is inviting young adults to learn the skills of holy and healthy disruption. Holy Disruption is an exploration of faith, organizing and the school-to-prison pipeline.
Holy Disruption is a faith-based social justice education intensive sponsored by the UMW. It is a five-month commitment with a monthly average of 15 hours per week in study and class time. This opportunity is open to young adults ages 19-35. All travel and accommodations will be covered by the UMW.
For four months cohort members will meet biweekly to discuss, pray and learn together. The meetings will take place online and last for only two hours.
In-person gathering (May 2-5):
Cohort members will meet three days to celebrate their study time together and plan their future holy disruption. Child care is provided for participants.
Opportunities to serve:
We are inviting participants to find places to serve and share the work of Holy Disruption in their own communities.
