Vital Conversations: The Ministry of the Laity to be held on Jan. 20

The next Vital Conversations will be on Jan. 20 at 11:30 a.m. The topic will be on the Ministry of the Laity. It will be led by co-lay leaders Nancy Flint, Gayla Jo Slauson and Barry Welliver.

The mission of The United Methodist church is to “Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Laity are vital to the local church and community. During this Vital Conversation, Rev. Betty Nguyen welcomes Lay Leaders of our conference, Nancy Flint, Gayla Jo Slauson, and Barry Welliver, who will be sharing information about the calling of laity and opportunities to serve and connect within the Mountain Sky Conference. This is also an important conversation for clergy to engage in as nurturing a mutually supportive relationship between clergy and laity is vital.
