'We Pray with Her' features Mountain Sky Conference women

In early September, Abingdon Press released "We Pray with Her: Encouragement for All Women Who Lead." This book focuses on women's empowerment, encouragement and growth. Several women of the Mountain Sky Conference contributed to "We Pray with Her," including the Rev. Kerry Greenhill, Melissa Engel, and Laura Rossbert.

When asked about her contributions, Greenhill spoke of the empowerment the book provides: "The online community that birthed the project and the encouragement that we offered one another were life-giving for me during a time when the public discourse in this country was becoming more dismissive and demeaning of women in leadership." She continued, "It matters to me that our book not only affirms women's leadership, but expresses the ways God speaks to and through women amidst our experiences of call, struggle, courage, resistance, and persistence."

Greenhill contributed to the book for many reasons, "because I wanted to share some of the ways God has taught me through both challenges and blessings."

Greenhill, along with women across the connection aim to encourage female leadership in years to come. Greenhill closed, "I wanted to support both current and future generations of women."
