United Methodist churches in Cheyenne, Wyoming, teamed up recently for the first Annual Gobble Walk in late October and early November. On Oct. 28, folks from Frontier, Grace and First United Methodist churches gathered at Faith UMC to walk their surrounding neighborhood collecting food donations for the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry near Faith UMC. The following Saturday on Nov. 4, the group met at Frontier UMC to collect food from a neighborhood near Frontier.
Many people in both neighborhoods were happy to give to this food drive and the folks from the different churches, young and old, had a great time sharing God’s love in two Cheyenne neighborhoods. This is one way the United Methodist churches in Cheyenne are working to create Beloved Community within our churches and beyond.
