Rev. Greg Young on medical diagnosis

September 18, 2019

Please pray for the Rev. Greg Young and family as he continues treatment for multiple myeloma, which is a cancer of the plasma cells. He will have a stem cell transplant Sept. 24 at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado and will be there for about three weeks for recovery. After that, he will be in isolation at home for about eight weeks to inhibit any possibility of infection. Greg is a retired clergy member of the Mountain Sky Conference.

Greg said, "There is no cure, but to receive a transplant offers a greater possibility for remission. I would like to ask for prayers for my transplant procedure to be the best that it can be; for a long-lasting remission; for good health during my hospitalization and upon going home; and for thanksgiving for the optimal care I do and will receive from the hospital staff and my medical team."

Expressions of care and support can be sent to Greg has also established a page with Lotsa Helping Hands to provide updates.
