The Mountain Sky Conference of The United Methodist Church hosts the Annual Preaching Academy with a view towards exploring and enriching our craft as preachers of the gospel.
The work of Preaching Academy can be summed up by Kent Ingram, Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs: “Of all the tasks that we perform as pastor, no task touches more lives at one time than preaching and leading worship. In those moments of worship we are able to provide pastoral care, to challenge people to live faithful lives, and to help people better understand what Paul calls the ‘mystery of the gospel.’ Improving our preaching skills is an essential way to be more effective in ministry.”
